Minor

The minor in Latin American Studies allows you to study the cultures, history, and society of Latin America, U.S. Latino/a/x populations, and the Hispanic and Francophone Caribbean. This interdisciplinary program involves a variety of fields, including Africana Studies, anthropology, literature and culture, history, philosophy, political science, and others.
The minor consists of 18 credits. These include LTAM 1501 or LTAM 1502, four elective courses, and at least one LTAM course at the 3000 level. You are allowed to double-count 2 courses with your major or another minor. For information on some of the courses that can count toward the minor, please see minor requirements.
